Sorority recruitment is a formal process for sorority chapters to meet potential new
members. At SFA, it will take place in September. Recruitment is a mutual selection process
that takes place over a period of several days. For more information on the Panhellenic

recruitment info. You will need to register with SFA's Panhellenic office in order to

Potential New Member Convocation - Attendance Required
September 8th, 2011 - 7:00 PM
This is where you will learn more about recruitment, meet other women
participating in recruitment, and meet wtih your Rho Beta. The dress for
this meeting is casual.
Open House/Philanthropy Day
September 9th, 2011
You will tour all five sorority houses and learn about our philanthropies. You
will do lots of walking from house to house in the August heat, so dress cool
and comfortably.
Skit/Slideshow Day
September 10th, 2011
You will visit up to four houses to enjoy either a skit or slideshow while
meeting even more chapter members.
Preference Day
September 11th, 2011
On this special day, everything is a little more serious and formal. You will
visit up to two houses to see a glimpse into the special bond of sisterhood.
Bid Night
September 11th, 2011
The evening will begin at the Baker Patillo Student Center where you will
find out who your new sisters will be. Then you will go back to your new
house to celebrate with the entire chapter!
