What are the Membership Obligations?

Housing:

Delta Zeta built the first house on sorority row in 1986. The house received a major addition in 1991 and was most recently redecorated in 2008. The Delta Zeta house accommodates 30 women in the largest living spaces on sorority row. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided Monday through Friday, and the Delta Zeta house is currently the only sorority house open to members during the summer terms. Members who are eligible to live off of the SFA campus live in the sorority house until it reaches capacity.

Academics:

Delta Zeta is consistently at the top of the class in our academic programming. All members must maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA. Members must complete study hall hours and grade checks according to their GPA. Members with cumulative GPA's about 3.5 are recognized by the chapter. We encourage our members by providing mentors, workshops on study skills and time management, and study challenges.

Financial:
Delta Zeta members are expected to meet their financial obligations in order for our chapter to operate. Dues, fees, and rent for in house members total $2,674 per semester. Dues and fees for active members who live out of the house are $530 per semester. Fees for new members are $530 for the semester, plus a $45 new member fee, $123 badge fee, $80 initiation fee, and $300 payment to the building fund. The majority of our members work part time jobs in the summer or during the school year in order to pay for the cost of being in a sorority.
